Welcome to Write Sharp, a space where the magic of writing comes to life for kids, teachers of kids and writers for kids. In this Substack newsletter, writers share their books and their writing journeys while teachers find inspiration for their classrooms and their own writing!

As both a writer and a teacher, I believe that the best way to teach kids to write is by introducing them to writers who work daily at their craft, and who generously share their best tips for writing with kids.

If you are a writer, I hope you will join my community to share your books, your writing journey, and the creative processes that shape your stories.

If you are a teacher, I hope when you join our community, you’ll discover tips, lesson ideas, and some creative sparks that will inspire your students to not only love writing but to see themselves as writers.

Let’s write, talk about writing, and build the next generation of writers together!

Spread the word

At Write Sharp my goal is to celebrate the connection between writing and teaching, and to build a community of educators that consists of both writers and teachers. If you know of an writer for kids OR a teacher of kids who might be interested in our community, I hope you will help me spread the word about my publication.
